If you have a C4 Corvette, the Street Shop HammerHead Differential Assembly (Rear-End) is heavy built and has the strength and performance to stand up to all the horsepower you can throw at it, and unlike the remanufactured or rebuilt competitors, it is all new and built to take a punch.
Brand New / No Core:
The HammerHead is newly manufactured from high quality materials and is Nitro Plated with high temperature coating, both inside and out, for a long lasting appearance, and faster interior oil drain back with no lubricant absorption. Built for strength and performance, you will know exactly what your differential has been subjected to, and that this unit can take it! Since the HammerHead is brand new, we don’t want your old rear as a core either, so no return shipping! This allows you to do what you want with your old differential.
High Performance / High Horsepower:
The HammerHead is currently running in applications up to 1000 horsepower with no issues. This is not the case with many remanufactured units, and we have even spoken to high horsepower enthusiasts who keep one or more stock rear ends as spare due to high failure rates in extreme performance situations. Now that the Street Shop HammerHead Differential is available, power related differentials failures are a thing of the past.
Configurable:
The HammerHead can be custom built to your performance and design specifications. Choose from a variety of positraction unit (carrier) options including gear type for racing and clutch type for a smoother driving car in a variety of spline configurations.
Bolt It Up And Go:
The Hammerhead Rear-End Assembly is designed as a drop in bolt up replacement for any C4 Corvette using your stock differential cover. The HammerHead comes complete with everything you need to install it in your stock location, including stub axles, but minus the cover. The HammerHead will work with your stock axles, but you will need a stock C4 cover as the HammerHead does not include a cover. If you do not have a stock cover available, we can help you source one.
Included with all Street Shop Chassis
The HammerHead Differential is included with all complete Street Shop Chassis as part of the Street Shop 5-link Rear Suspension.
